Shonan is a stunning coastal region located just an hour south of Tokyo by train. The marathon begins and ends in the historic seaside town of Oiso, once a retreat for Japan’s aristocracy, and follows a scenic route along pristine beaches with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. Nearby attractions include the cultural treasures of Kamakura and the renowned hot spring town of Hakone.

- The rate shown above is per person for 2 nights 3days including 10% consumption tax and service charge.
- The above runner’s tour price includes the marathon entry fee.
- The marathon fee is non-refundable even if canceled before the cancellation fee for the travel contract applies, in accordance with the rules of the event office.
- The right to participate will be revoked in accordance with the regulations of the marathon executive committee office.
- THERMAL SPA S.WAVE access available throughout your stay. (Tattoos are not allowed to enter the spa.)
Bring your own bottle/Earth-Friendly Marathon
The Shonan International Marathon is the world’s first major marathon to eliminate paper cup and plastic bottle waste at its aid stations.
Please note: water stations will not provide paper cups or plastic bottles. Runners must carry their own bottle with at least 200ml of water at the start. Bringing a reusable cup is also recommended to enjoy other beverages provided along the course.
There are approximately 200 hydration points—one every 200 meters—throughout the course.
